Der Absender kann ein Paket gagen Zahlung> einer vom Aufgabeland festgesetzten beson- deren Gebiihr einschreiben lassen. 1m Falle des Verl'Uste8z>,der Berau- bung oder der Beschidigung eines Einschreibpakets ist eine Ent- schadigung zu zahlen, die dem wirklichen Wert des verloren- gegan~enen, beraubten oder be- schadigten Pakets am Einliefe- rungstage und am Aufgabeort enstpricnt. Die Entschii.digung darf den Betrag von 500 Gold- franken bei Paketen aus Deutsch- land oder 100 Dollar in Gold bei Paketen aus den> Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika nicht tiber- schreiten. Sie solI nicht fiber den wirklichen Wert des Paket- inhalts hinausgehen. Beiden Verwaltungen bleibt das> Recht vorbehalten, im gegenseitigen Einverstandnis den vorstehend angegebenen IIochstbetrag der EntschAdigung im Wege des Schriftwechsels zu andern. 2. Geldstllcke1 ungemUnztes Gold oder Silber, >Edelsteine oder andere kostba.re Gegen- stande dUrfen im Verkehr zwi- schen den vertragschlie&nden Landern nur in Einschreibpake- ten versandt werden. 1m FaIle GeldstUcke, unaemUnztes Gold oder Silber, Edelsteine oder andere kostba.re Gegenstande in einem gewohnlichen Paket ver- sandt worden sind, soll diejenige Dienststelle, von welcher dies zuerst festgestellt wird, eine solche Sendung ala Einschreibpaket gemaB ihren inneren Vorschriften weiterbehandeln. 3. Die Aufgabeverwaltun~ ist berechtigt, verschiedene Ent- schadigungssatze i,nnerhalb des vorgesehenen Hoch3tsatzes fest- zusetzen und die Gebiih.ren ent- sprechend zu sta1feln.
