Falls, New York, three United States certificates of indebtedness, series TJ-I922, issued June 15, 1921, and matured June 15, 1922, serially numbered 5860, 5861, and 2082, of the denomination of $1,000 each, with interest at the rate of 51;2 per centum per annum from June 15, 1921, to June 15, 1922, without presentation of the said certificates or the coupons representing interest thereon from June 15, 1921, to June 15, 1922, the certificates having been stolen in a mail robbery: Pr01Jided, That the said certificates shall not have been TarmstroBot (talk)on. previously presented for payment and that no payment shall be made hereunder for any coupons which shall have been previously presented and paid: Provided fu/rther, That the said Glen Falls Indemnity bond. Insurance Company shall first file in the Treasury Department a bond ill the penal sum of double the amount of the certIfi~tes and the interest payable thereon in such form and with such surety or sureties as may be acceptable to the Secretary of the Treasury, to indemnify and save harmless the United States from any loss on account of the stolen certificates of indebtedness herein described or the coupons belonging thereto. Be it enacted by tM Senate and Hoose of Representatives of the United States of America in Oongress assembled, That the Secretary o~~m:a!~:~ia~;; of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to Y'K!i tl f1t redeem in favor of the Home Insurance Company, of New York, Treas!~Pno~~. 0 os New York, United States Treasury note, series B-1924, issued Sep- tember 15, 1921, and matured September 15, 1924, serial number 17153, in the denomination of $100, with interest at the rate of 5% per centum per annum from September 15, 1921, to September 15, 1924, without presentation of the said note or the coupons represent- ing interest thereon from September 15, 1921, to September 15, 1924, the note having been stolen in a mail robbery: Provided, That the ~=on. said note shall not have been previously presented for payment and that no payment shall be made hereunder for any coupons which have been previously presented and paid: Proviaed further, That Indemnity bond. the said Home Insurance Company shall first file in the Treasury Department a !xmd in the penal sum of double the amount of the note and thv interest pa:yable thereon, in such form and with such surety or sureties as ma.y be acceptable to the Secretllry of the Treas- ury, to indemnify and save harmless the United States from any loss on account of the stolen Treasury note herein described or the coupons belonging thereto.
