BUREAU OF PLANT INDUSTRY Root rot, United States experimental date garden, Indio, Cali- f ornia : To e nable the S ecret ary of Agri cultu re to meet the em ergen cy caused by the occurrence and continued spread of the disease of cotton, alfalfa, fruit trees, and other plants, generally known as cotton root rot, within the boundaries of the United States experi- mental date garden, Indio, California, and for applying such methods of eradication or control of the disease as in the judgment of the Secretary of Agriculture may be necessary, including the employment of persons and means in the city of Washington and e lsewhe re, a nd coo perat ion w ith au thori ties of the Stat es con cerne d, organizations of growers, or individuals, as may be deemed necessary to accomplish such purposes, fiscal years 1930 and 1931, $25,000 .
