[Public, No. U6 .1 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the U nited Stat es o f Ame rica in Co ngress ass embled, That the Secretary Migratory Cheyenne Bottoms ttRef- of Agriculture be, and he is hereby, authorized to acquire by pur- U gAequ isitio n of d esig- chase, gift, or lease not to exceed twenty thousand acres of land in nated lands in Kansas, w hat is known as the Cheyenn e Botto ms, in Barton County, Kansas , autho rized . or, in lieu of purchase, to compensate any owner for any damage su stained by reason of submergenc e of his l ands .

Maintenance of, as SEC. 2 .
