May 23, 1g44_ Be it enacted, nyc., That the Secretary of War be, and he is hereby, to pay to Bartholomew Maguire, out of any moneys in the treasury not A pension otherwise appropriated, the sum of six dollars per month, from the first gmntedw himday of April, eighteen hundred and twenty-five, being the time he made application for a pension, to the twelfth day of December, eighteen hundred and forty-two, the time at which his present pension commenced. Be it enacted, &c., That the act of Congress, which passed on the third of March, eighteen hundred and forty-three, entitled "An act for Act of March the relief of Elizabeth Gresham, widow of George Gresham," shall be 3· lb8`l3r°h· 109· so construed, understood and executed by the Secretary of War as to ;(:,.u§dSg,`¥:,",l_ authorize and require him, and he is hereby instructed, to allow to the lowan additionsaid Elizabeth Gresham in common with all other widows who have ¤l P°¤¤l°“ fm been pensioned under, and received the benefit of the act of seventh of °°° y°u' July, eighteen hundred and thirty-eight, the additional pension for one year, which by the act of the third of March, eighteen hundred and tbrty-three, is made payable to such widows as have received the benefit of the said act of the seventh day of July, eighteen hundred and thirty- Act of July 7, eight: the amount so to be paid to the said Elizabeth Gresham, for the 1E3G. ch- 189- additional year, to be the same which was allowed to her annually for live years, in pursuance of the aforesaid act of which this act is explanatory.
