To be dis, Be it enacted, &c., That William Smith, who is now confined in the phnrgod from jail of the city of Charleston, in the district of South Carolina, on a ““l’"·’°'“"°“*· judgment obtained against him in favor of the United States, be dis. proviso_ charged from his imprisonment: Provided, That any estate, real orpersonal, which the said William Smith may now have, or hereafter acquire, shall be liable to be taken to_satisfy the judgment aforesaid, in the same manner as if he had not been imprisoned and discharged ; and that nothing in this act shall be so construed as to affect the liability of any co-obligor that may have been bound with the said William Smith for the payment of any sum of money to the United States.
