Ch. 50, 52, 53. 1818. and Gibson Clark, of the State of Mississippi, founded on warrants or orders of survey granted by the Spanish government to James Davenport and James Stewart, and if it shall appear to the satisfaction of the said register and receiver, that the said James Davenport and James Stewart, under whom the said Daniel Burnet and Gibson Clark claim, were resident in the late Mississippi territory, on the twenty-seventh day of October, one thousand seven hundred and ninety-tive, then, and in that case, the claims aforesaid shall be respectively confirmed, and Receiver of patents shall issue for the same as in other cases. Be it enacted, rfc., That the proper accounting officers of the trea- Acceums to sury settle the account of John Rodgers, for expenses actually incurred M ¤<·>¤l¤<l- in the defence of a suit brought against him by John Donnell, of Baltimore, owner of the schooner Eleanor, and finally reversed in the Superior Court of the United States, and pay him the sum of sixteen hundred and ninety-five dollars seventy-nine cents. Appropriation. Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the sum of sixteen hundred and ninety-five dollars seventy-nine cents be appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the payment of said Rodgers.
