CHAP, XXV.—An Act for the. relief of John W Bingey, the legal representative March 2» 1827- of Alexander Young. _""-"`; Be it enacted, &c., That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized to refund to John W. Bingey, of New Orleans, in Certain duties the state of Louisiana, the legal representative of Alexander Young, *°f““d°d· deceased, the sum of one thousand one hundred and fifty dollars and ninety-eight cents, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated: Provided, That it shall first be proved to the satisfaction Proviso. of said Secretary, that the said sum of one thousand one hundred and fifty dollars and ninety-eight cents was paid to the Collector of the District of Mississippi, for duties on merchandise imported into said district by said Young, from Pensacola, in the month of February or March, one thousand eight hundred and nineteen; and that said merchandise was purchased in the city of New York, in the month of August, eighteen hundred and seventeen, and that the duties thereon were paid to the Collector of the port of New York, according to law.
