April 28, U52S_ Be it enacted, 4}-c., That the Secretary of State be, and he is hereby, authorized and required to issue letters patent, in the usual form, to Letters patent Anthony I-Iermange, of the city of Baltimore, in the state of Maryland, !°i”¤° f°*hi¤ for certain improvements in the machinery for propelling ships and other :,"Q§,':.`;?‘,!0;"°,;,_ vessels, on his paying into the treasury the usual fees, and making oath pelling ship; that he, being a citizen of the United States, does verily believe, that he and Paul Steenstrup, of Kongsberg, in the Kingdom of Norway, are the true inventors or discoverers of the said improvements, and delivering into the patent office models of the same (if the Secretary of State shall deem it necessary) with specifications, as is required by the acts of Congress, relative to the issuing of letters patent for inventions or improvements: Provided, That the said patent shall be subject to Proviso. all the conditions, limitations, and restrictions, of the said act of Congress. Be it enacted, rfc., That the act of the Legislature of the state of Maryland, entitled "An act for erecting a bridge over the ,Eastern Ac, ,-0, Bmw Branch," passed at November Session, in the year seventeen hundred ingabridgs and ninety-seven, by which a company is incorporated, by the name of °"°¥gh° Um- " The Anacostia Bridge Company," be, and the same is hereby, revived {rl2V_ {gg2h;:; and re—enacted ; and that William Benning, of the city of Washington, vived and’re. in the District of Columbia, his executors, administrators, and assigns, °¤¤¤'·€d» &·¤· be, and they are hereby, vested with all the powers, rights, and privilegcs, by the said act of incorporation granted to the said Anacostia Bridge Company, and shall ,be subject to all the pains and penalties by the act aforesaid imposed on the said Company. Sec. 2.
