STATUTE I. CHAP. II. --An Act for the relief of the heirs of Pwdow Robert dvart. Jan. 24, 1834: Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Third Au- Claim for proditor of the Treasury settle the claim of the heirs of Widow Robert ggggjgjmqd Avart, for the destruction or damage done to the fences of the said and ,,,,;,i_ widow Robert Avart, in the vicinity of New Orleans, by the troops of the United States, during the late war, on the same principles that have governed the accounting officers of the treasury in settling similar claims for like injuries in the same vicinity; and that the amount so found, be paid by the Secretary of the Treasury out of any money not otherwise appropriated.
