CHAPTER 87

AN ACT To amend section 10 of the Federal Reserve Act, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the second proviso contained in the ninth paragraph of section 10 of the Federal Reserve Act, as amended (U.S.C. title 12, sec. 522), is hereby further amended by striking out "$10,000,000" and inserting in lieu thereof "$30,000,000". CHAPTER 97

AN ACT To amend the Act of June 25, 1942, relating to the making of photographs and sketches of properties of the military establishment, to continue in effect the provisions thereof until six months after the present national emergency.

Be it ermcted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 5 of the Act of June 25, 1942 (56 Stat. 390), as extended by section 1(a) (11) of the Emergency Powers Continuation Act (Public Law 450, Eightysecond Congress) and as further extended by section 1, Public Law 12, Eighty-third Congress, approved March 31, 1953, is amended by deleting the words "for the duration of the present war as determined by proclamation of the President" and inserting in lieu thereof the words "until six months after the termination of the national emergency proclaimed by the President on December 16, 1950 (Proc. 2914, 3 C. F. K., 1950Supp.,p.71)". Approved June 4, 1953. Public Law 47

CHAPTER 9 8

AN ACT To authorize the Secretary of the Interior, or his authorized representative, to convey certain school properties to local school districts or public agencies.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior, or his authorized representative, is hereby authorized to convey to State or local governmental agencies or to local school authorities all the right, title, and interest of the United States in any land and improvements thereon and personal property used in connection therewith heretofore or hereafter used for Federal Indian school purposes and no longer needed for such purposes: Provided, That the consent of the beneficial owner shall be obtained before the conveyance of title to land held by the United States in trust for an individual Indian or Indian tribe: Provided further, That no more than twenty acres of land shall be transferred under the terms of this
