DISTRIBUTION OF CATALOG CARDS

Salaries and expenses: For expenses necessary for the preparation and distribution of catalog cards and other publications of the Library, $1,332,000. INCREASE o r THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS

General increase of the Library: For expenses (except personal services) necessary for acquisition of books, periodicals and newspapers, and all other material for the increase of the Library, $260,000, to continue available during the next succeeding fiscal year. Increase of the law library: For expenses (except personal services) necessary for acquisition of books, legal periodicals, and all other material for the increase of the law library, $90,000, to continue available during the next succeeding fiscal year. Books for the Supreme Court: For the purchase of books and periodicals for the Supreme Court, to be a part of the Library of Congress, and purchased by the Librarian of the Supreme Court, under the direction of the Chief Justice, $25,000. BOOKS FOR THE BLIND

For salaries and other expenses necessary to carry out the provisions of the Act entitled "An Act to provide books for the blind", approved March 3, 1931 (2 U.S.C. 135a), as amended, $1,000,000. ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS

Appropriations in this Act available to the Library of Congress for salaries shall be available for expenses of investigating the loyalty of Library employees; special and temporary services (including
