to the United States for permanent residence as of the date of the enactment of this Act, upon payment of the required visa fee. Upon the granting of permanent residence to such alien as provided for in this Act, the Secretary of State shall instruct the proper quota-control oiRcer to deduct one number from the appropriate quota for the first year that such quota is available. Private Law 468 AN ACT For the relief of Ruth Sonin.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, notwithstanding the provisions of sections 212(a)(1), 212 (a)(2), 212 (a)(4), and 212 (a)(7) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, Ruth Sonin may be admitted to the United States for permanent residence if she is found to be otherwise admissible under the provisions of such Act. SEC. 2. A suitable and proper bond or undertaking shall be given, approved by the Attorney General, in such amount and containing such conditions as he may prescribe, to the United States and to all States, Territories, counties, towns, municipalities, and districts thereof holding the United States and all States, Territories, counties, towns, municipalities, and districts thereof harmless against Ruth Sonin becoming a public charge. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior is hereby authorized and directed to issue to Lucy Yarlott Othermedicine a patent in fee to the following-described lands allotted to her on the Crow Indian Reservation, Montana: The west half of the northeast quarter, and the southeast quarter of the northeast quarter of section 22, and lot 3 of section 10, township 9 south, range 34 east, Montana principal meridian. The prior disposition of the homestead land of Lucy Yarlott Othermedicine is hereoy ratified and confirmed. Approved June 28, 1954. Private Law 470
