CHAPTER 54 AN ACT

May 23, 1955 [H. R. 1020]

For the relief of Boris Ivaiiovitch Oblesow.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, for the pur8^j?c*i loVnote P^SBS of the Immigration and Nationality Act, Boris Ivanovitch Oblesow shall be held and considered to have been lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence as of the date of the Quota deduction, enactment of this Act. upon payment of the required visa fee. Upon the granting of permanent residence to such alien as provided for in this Act, the Secretary of State shall instruct the proper quota-control officer to deduct one number from the appropriate quota for the first year that such quota is available. CHAPTER 56 AN ACT Yox the relief of Florence Meister.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That Florence Meister, who lost United States citizenship under the provisions of l\jsc*8o\'note. ^ection 401(c) of the Nationality Act of 1940, may be naturalized by taking prior to one year after the effective date of this Act, before any court referred to in subsection (a) of section 310 of the Immigration and Nationality Act or before any diplomatic or consular officer of T u s**c^i'4"i| the United States abroad, the oaths prescribed by section 337 of the 1^48. said Act. From and after naturalization under this Act, the said Florence Meister shall have the same citizenship status as that which existed immediately prior to its loss. Approved May 23, 1955.
