CHAPTER 552 AN ACT For the relief of Camp Kooch-i-ching.

July 9, 1956 [H. R. 5690]

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, notwithstanding the provisions of section 4132 of the Revised Statutes of the United States, as amended (46 IT. S. C, sec. 11), and section 27 of the Merchant Marine Act, 1920, as amended (46 U.S.C. sec. 883), the motorboat Kooch-i-Ching II, which is owned and operated by Camp Kooch-i-ching, a camp for boys on Rainy Lake, International Falls, Minnesota, under the identification number 36D675, shall not be precluded from being documented under the laws of the United States, nor from engaging in the transportation of merchandise, personnel, and guests of Camp Kooch-i-ching located on Eainy Lake, International Falls, Minnesota, in the coastal and intercoastal waters, in which the boat is not now permitted to operate by reason of having been built outside the United States. JOINT RESOLUTION Granting the status of permanent residence to certain aliens. Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled. That, in the case of each alien hereinafter named, in whose case deportation has been suspended for six months pursuant to section 19(c) of the Immigration Act of 1917, as amended (64 Stat. 671; 56 Stat. 1044; 62 Stat. 1206), the Attorney General is authorized and directed to cancel deportation proceedings and to record the lawful admission for permanent residence of each alien in accordance with the provisions of section 244(d) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (66 Stat. 216-217), upon the payment to the Commissioner of Immigration and Naturalization of a fee of $18, which fee shall be deposited in the Treasury of the United States to the account of miscellaneous receipts: A-2568385, Frett, Lilly M.
