Private Law 85-197 AN ACT For the relief of Harry and Sadie Woonteiler. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Harry Woonteiler of New York, New York, the sum of $500, and to Sadie Woonteiler of New York, New York, the sum of $3,500. The payment of such sums shall be in full settlement of all claims of the said H a r r y and Sadie Woonteiler against the United States arising out of an automobile accident which occurred on July 20, 1952, in Barranquilla, Colombia, in which the personal injuries sustained by the said H a r r y and Sadie Woonteiler were found to have been caused by the negligence of the operator of a truck owned by the Inter-American Geodetic Survey. No part of either of the sums appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with the claim settled by the payment of such sum, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Approved August 26, 1957.

The payment of such sum shall be in full settlement of all claims of H o w a r d S. Gay against the United States for payment for accrued annual leave due him upon retirement from his employment with the Department of
