AOTS REPEALED

SEC. 9. The Act entitled "An Act for the establishment of marine 34 USC 1121- schools, and for other purposes", approved March 4, 1911 (36 Stat. 1123. 1353), as amended, and the joint resolution entitled "Joint resolution to provide suitable vessels for the use of certain State nautical schools, 34 USC 1122- and for other purposes", approved July 29, 1941 (55 Stat. 607), are 1123e. repealed. APPROPRIATIONS AUTHORIZED

SEC. 10. There are authorized to be appropriated such amounts as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act. Approved August 18, 1958. Public Law 85-673 August 18, 1958 [H. R. 9919]

T a r i f f Act of 1930, amendment. 46 Stat. 693.

AN ACT To amend the Tariff Act of 1930 to extend the privilege of substitution for the purpose of obtaining drawback upon rexportation to all classes of merchandise, and for other purposes. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 313(b) of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended (19 U.S.C. sec. 1313 (b)), is amended to read as follows: " (b) SUBSTITUTION FOR DRAWBACK PURPOSES.—If imported dutypaid merchandise and duty-free or domestic merchandise of the same kind and quality are used in the manufacture or production of articles within a period not to exceed three years from the receipt of such imported merchandise by the manufacturer or producer of such articles, there shall be allowed upon the exportation of any such articles, notwithstanding the fact that none of the imported merchandise may actually have been used in the manufacture or production of the exorted articles, an amount of drawback equal to that which would ave been allowable had the merchandise used therein been imported; but the total amount of drawback allowed upon the exportation of such articles, together with the total amount of drawback allowed in respect of such imported merchandise under any other provision of law, shall not exceed 99 per centum of the duty paid on such imported merchandise." SEC. 2. The amendment made by the first section of this Act shall be effective with respect to articles exported on or after the 30th day after the date of the enactment of this Act. AN ACT To amend sections 802 and 803 of the Veterans' Benefits Act of 1957 to increase the burial allowance for deceased veterans from $150 to $250.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That sections 802 Post, p. 1274. and 803 of the Veterans' Benefits Act of 1957 are each amended by 38 ^u^s c^ 2802. Striking out "$150" and inserting "$250". 2803. SEC. 2. The amendments made by this Act shall applv only with Effective date. respect to deaths occurring after the date of enactment 01 this Act.
