Phipps, a motor-vehicle employee in the United States post office, Towson, Maryland. Such sum shall be paid only on condition that Bernard L. Phipps shall use such sum, or so much thereof as is necessary, to pay such judgment in full: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Approved August 8, 1958.

Private Law 85-535 AN ACT For the relief of Jack Carpenter.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Jack Carpenter, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the sum of $85. The payment of such sum shall be in full settlement of all claims of the said Jack Carpenter against the United States for reimbursement of the amount which he paid Bruce J. Walthers in settlement of a judgment which the said Bruce J. Walthers recovered against him for damages arising out of a collision which occurred on March 24, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and involved a vehicle operated by the said Bruce J. Walthers, and a vehicle owned by the United States and operated by the said Jack Carpenter as an employee in the field service of the Post Office Department: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Private Law 85-536 AN ACT For the relief of Edwin Matusiak.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of A'tnerica in Congress assembled. That the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money ill the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Edwin Matusiak, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the sum of $50. The payment of such sum shall be in full settlement of all claims of the said Edwin Matusiak against the United States for reimbursement of the amount which he paid to settle the claims of Nic Kotrodimos for damages arising out of a collision which occurred on February 14, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and involved a vehicle operated by the said Nic Kotrodimos and a vehicle owned by the United States and operated by the said Edwin Matusiak as an employee of the postal field service of the Post Office Department: Provided, That no part of the amount appropri-
