The limitation of $49,000,000 contained in section 611 of the Departmeut of Defense Appropriation Act, 1959, Public Law 85-724, approved August 22, 1958, may be exceeded by not more than $5,000,000. Section 615 of the Department of Defense Appropriation Act, 1959, is amended, effective January 3, 1959, by adding the words "or in Alaska" after the words "outside the United States".
