For construction and improvement, without regard to the Act of August 24, 1912, as amended (16 U.S.C. 451), of buildings, utilities, and other physical facilities; the repair or replacement of roads, trails, buildings, utilities, or other facilities or equipment damaged or destroyed by fire, flood, or storm, or the construction of projects deferred by reason of the use of funds for such purposes; the acquisition of water rights; and not to exceed $2,200,000 for the acquisition of lands, interest therein, improvements, and related personal property; $18,000,000 to remain available until expended. For liquidation of obligations incurred pursuant to authority contained in section 106 of the Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1956 (70 Stat. e376) and section 6 of the Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1958 (72 Stat. 93), $30,000,000, to remain available until expended: Provided, That none of the funds herein provided shall be expended for construction on the following: Fort Washington and Greenbelt Park, Maryland, except minor roads and trails; Daingerfield Island Marina, Virginia; and extension of the George Washington Memorial Parkway from vicinity of Brickyard Road to Great Falls, Maryland. For expenses necessary for general administration of the National Park Service, including such expenses in the regional offices, $1,485,000. ADMINISTRATIVE

PROVISIONS

Appropriations for the National P a r k Service shall be available for the purchase of not to exceed eighty-one passenger motor vehicles (of which seventy-one are for replacement only), including not to exceed thirty-five for police-type use which may exceed by $300 each the general purchase price limitation for the current fiscal year; replacement of one aircraft; and the objects and purposes specified in the Acts of August 8, 1953 (16 U.S.C. l b - I d), and July 1, 1955 (16 U.S.C. 18f). For expenses necessary for scientific and economic studies, conservation, management, investigation, protection, and utilization of sport fishery and wildlife resources, except whales, seals, and sea lions, and for the performance of other authorized functions related to such resources; operation of the industrial properties within the Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge (61 Stat. 770); maintenance of the herd of long-horned cattle on the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge; purchase or rent of land, and functions related to wildlife management in California (16 U.S.C. 695-695c); and leasing and management of lands for the protection of the Florida Key deer; $18,645,000.
