(2) The amendment made by subsection (a) shall also be applicable in the case of applications for disability determination under section Post, p p. 9 6 8, 216(i) of the Social Security Act filed in or after the month in which 969. this Act is enacted. (3) Notwithstanding any other provision of this subsection, in the case of any individual who would not be a fully insured individual Ante, p. 948. under section 214(a) of the Social Security Act except for the enactment of this section, no benefits shall be payable on the basis of his wages and self-employment income for any month prior to the month in which this Act is enacted. SEC. 207. (a) Section 216(b) of the Social Security Act is amended by striking out "not less than three years immediately preceding the day on which her application is filed" and inserting in lieu thereof "not less than one year immediately preceding the day on which her application is filed". ^^^ rpj^^ £j,g^ sentence of section 216(e) of such Act is amended to read as follows: "The term 'child' means (1) the child or legally adopted child of an individual, and (2) a stepchild who has been such stepchild for not less than one year immediately preceding the day on which application for child's insurance benefits is filed or (if the insured individual is deceased) the day on which such individual died." (c) Section 216(f) of such Act is amended by striking out "not less than three years immediately preceding the day on which his application is filed" and inserting in lieu thereof "not less than one year immediately preceding the day on which bis application is filed".
