CORRECTION IN ENROLLMENT O F H.R. 10

Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That the Clerk of the House of Representatives, in the enrollment of the bill (H.R. 10) to encourage the establishment of voluntary pension plans by self-employed individuals, is authorized and directed in section 8 to strike out "1961" and insert in lieu thereof "1962". P a s s e d September 28, 1962.

TRAVEL ON U. S. FLAG AIR CARRIERS BY FEDERAL EMPLOYEES Whereas Congress has by statute directed the preferential use of United States flag merchant vessels in connection with all travel by Government employees; and Whereas as a matter of general policy the executive branch of the Government has for many years urged the preferential use of United States flag air carriers by governmental employees and United States governmental departments and agencies have adopted regulations accordingly; and Whereas the development and preservation of a sound and strong United States civil air fleet is most vital to the national welfare and interest and its strength and prestige constantly maintained and preserved: Now, therefore, be it Resolved by the Senate {the House of Representatives concurring), That it is the sense of the Senate and the House of Representatives that when travel on official business is to be performed on civil aircraft by legislative and Government officers and employees, that said travel be performed by them on United States flag air carriers, except where travel on other aircraft (a) is essential to the official business concerned, or (b) is necessary to avoid unreasonable delay, expense, or inconvenience. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY MAP O F U. S.

Resolved by the House of Representatives {the Senate concurring), That there be compiled and printed fifty-eight thousand eight hundred copies of a wall map of the United States prepared for the Bureau of Land Management, Department of the Interior, by the Geological Survey, Department of the Interior, showing the extent of public surveys, national parks, national forests, Indian reservations, national wildlife refuges, and reclamation projects, size six and a half feet by four and a half feet, of which fifteen thousand copies shall be for the use of the Senate; and forty-three thousand eight hundred copies shall be for the use of the House of Representatives.
