condition which requires the personal care and supervision of an adult for at least 4 continuous weeks in the calendar quarter in which the service is rendered;" (b) Section 3121(b)(3)(B) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 (relating to definition of employment) is amended by inserting after the semicolon the following: "except that the provisions of this subparagraph shall not be applicable to such domestic service if— " (i) the employer is a surviving spouse or a divorced individual and has not remarried, or has a spouse living in the home who has a mental or physical condition which results in such spouse's being incapable of caring for a son, daughter, stepson, or stepdaughter (referred to in clause (ii)) for at least 4 continuous weeks in the calendar quarter in which the service is rendered, and " (ii) a son, daughter, stepson, or stepdaughter of such employer is living in the home, and "(iii) the son, daughter, stepson, or stepdaughter (referred to in clause (ii)) has not attained age 18 or has a mental or physical condition which requires the personal care and supervision of an adult for at least 4 continuous weeks in the calendar quarter in which the service is rendered;" (c) The amendments made by this section shall apply with respect to services performed after December 31, 1967.

TERMINATION OF COVERAGE OF E M P L O Y E E S OF THE M A S S A C H U S E T T S TURNPIKE AUTHORITY

SEC. 124. (a) Notwithstanding the provisions of section 218(g)(1) of the Social Security Act the Secretary may, under such conditions as he deems appropriate, permit the State of Massachusetts to modify its agreement entered into under section 218 of such Act so as to terminate the coverage of the employees of the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority effective at the end of any calendar quarter within the two years next following the date on which such agreement is so modified. (b) If the coverage of employees of the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority is terminated pursuant to subsection (a), coverage cannot later be extended to the employees of such Authority.

S E C 125. (a) Section 1842(b)(3)(B) of the Social Security Act is amended— (1) by striking o u t " (i) " j ^^^ (2) by striking out "and ( i i) " and all that follows and inserting in lieu thereof the following: "and such payment will be made— " (i) on the basis of an itemized bill; or " ( i i) on the basis of an assignment under the terms of which the reasonable charge is the full charge for the service; but (in the case of bills submitted, or requests for payment made, after March 1968) only if the bill is submitted, or a written request for payment is made in such other form as may be permitted under regulations, no later than the close of the calendar year following the year in which such service is furnished (deeming any service furnished in the last 3 months of any calendar year to have been furnished in the succeeding calendar year);".
