INDIAN HEALTH FACILITIES

For construction, m a p r repair, improvement, and equipment of health and related auxiliary facilities, mcluding quarters for personnel; preparation of plans, specifications, and drawings; acquisition of sites; purchase and erection of portable buildings; purchase of trailers; and provision of domestic and community sanitation facilities for Indians, as authorized by section 7 of the Act of August 5, 1954 (42 U.S.C. 2004a); $19,000,000 to remain available until expended. SEC. 1001. Appropriations contained in this Act, available for salaries and expenses, shall be available for services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109. SEC. 1002. Appropriations contained in this Act available for salaries and expenses shall be available for uniforms or allowances therefor as authorized by law (5 U.S.C. 5901-5902). SEC. 1003. Appropriations contained in this Act available for salaries and expenses shall be available for expenses of attendance at meetings which are concerned with the functions or activities for which the appropriation is made or which will contribute to improved conduct, supervision, or management of those functions or activities. For expenses necessary to carry out the purposes of the Act of August 13, 1946 (25 U.S.C. 70), as amended (81 Stat. 11), creating an Indian Claims Commission, $850,000, of which not to exceed $40,000 shall be available for expenses of travel. For necessary expenses, as authorized by the National Capital Planning Act of 1952 (40 U.S.C. 71-7li), including services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109; and uniforms or allowances therefor, as authorized by law (5 U.S.C. 5901-5902); $222,700, and in addition $770,000 of the unobligated balance of the appropriation granted under "Land Acquisition, National Capital Park, Parkway, and Playground System" are transferred to and shall be available for salaries and expenses: Provided, That none of the funds provided herein shall be used for the Temporary Pennsylvania Avenue Commission: Provided further, That none of the funds provided herein shall be used for foreign travel.
