P A R K W A Y A N D ROAD CONSTRUCTION ( L I Q U I D A T I O N OF CONTRACT AUTHORITY)

For liquidation of obligations incurred pursuant to authority contained in title 23, United States Code, section 203, $17,650,000, to^/2 Stat.^906; remain available until expended: Provided., That none of the funds herein provided shall be expended for planning or construction on the following: Fort Washington and Greenbelt Park, Maryland, and Great Falls Park, Virginia, except minor roads and trails; and Daingerfield Island Marina, Virginia, and extension of the George Washington Memorial Parkway from vicinity of Brickyard Road to Great Falls, Maryland, or in Prince Georges County, Maryland. PRESERVATION OF H I S TO R I C PROPERTIES

For expenses necessary in carrying out a program for the preservation of additional historic properties throughout the Nation, as authorized by law (80 Stat. 915), $6,801,000, to remain available until ^"^^' P- 204. expended. GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE E X P E N S E S

For expenses necessary for general administration of the National Park Service, including such expenses in the regional offices, $3,580,000. ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS

Appropriations for the National P a r k Service shall be available for the purchase of not to exceed one hundred and thirty-nine passenger motor vehicles of which one hundred and twenty-four shall be for replacement only, including not to exceed eighty-seven for police-type use which may exceed by $400 each the general purchase price limitation for the current fiscal year; and to provide, notwithstanding any other provision of law, at a cost not exceeding $50,000, transportation for children in nearby communities to and from any unit of the National Park System used in connection with organized recreation and interpretive programs of the National P a r k Service. CONVERSION

For expenses necessary to carry out the provisions of the Act of July 3, 1952, as amended (42 U.S.C. 1951 et seq.), authorizing studies g/l^ft^^-fo^^' for the conversion of saline water for beneficial consumptive uses, including not to exceed $2,378,000 for administration and coordination expenses during the current fiscal year, $28,573,000, to remain available until expended. For expenses necessary in carrying out the provisions of the Water Resources Research Act of 1964, as amended (42 U.S.C. 1961-1961c-7), ^^l.^l^V.^o^^'. 0. 80 Stat. 129, 13 $13,181,000, of which not to exceed $765,000 shall be available for " administrative expenses.
