For expenses, not otherwise provided for, necessary for the work of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, including advances or reimbursement to State, Federal, and local agencies and their employees for services rendered, $22,420,000, of which $600,000 shall be for expenses of revising the Consumer Price Index including salaries of temporary personnel assigned to this project without regard to competitive Civil Service requirements. SEC. 101. Appropriations in this Act available for salaries and expenses shall be available for supplies, services, and rental of conference space within the District of Columbia, as the Secretary of Labor shall deem necessary for settlement of labor-management disputes. This title may be cited as ths "Department of Labor Appropriation Act, 1970".
