For expenses necessary for the Selective Service System, as authorized by law, including services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109; expenses of attendance at meetings and of training for uniformed personnel assigned to the Selective Service System, as authorized by law (5 t^.S.C. 4101-4118) for civilian employees; hire of motor vehicles; so Stat. 432. purchase of eleven passenger motor vehicles for replacement only; uniforms or allowances therefor, as authorized by law (5 U.S.C. 59015903); not to exceed $88,000 for the National Selective Service Appeal 8i^stal^*206°^' Board; and $59,000 for the National Advisory Committee on the Selection of Physicians, Dentists, and Allied Specialists; $82,235,000: Provided, That during the current fiscal year, the President may exempt this appropriation from the provisions of subsection (c) of section 3679 of the Revised Statutes, as amended, whenever he deems such ^i use ees. action to be necessary in the interest of national defense.
