"(c) The Director of the Institute, acting through the Associate Jil^^^rell^r^X Director for Digestive Diseases, shall (1) carry out, at the facilities *" **' ^^^^^^^ of the Institute, a program of research in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of digestive diseases; and (2)- c a r r j out programs of support for research and training in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of digestive diseases, including support for training in medical schools, graduate clinical training, epidemiology studies, clinical trials, and interdisciplinary research programs." (b)(1) Section 431(a) of the Public Health Service Act is amended J^ y«^- ^^^; by striking out "and metabolic diseases" and inserting in lieu thereof "digestive diseases, and metabolism". (2) The heading for part D of title IV of such Act is amended to read as follows: " P A R T D—NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ARTHRITIS, METABOLISM, AND DIGESTIVE DISEASES; -NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF NEUROLOGICAL D I S EASES AND STROKE; AND OTHER INSTITUTES".

Be It enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the following second suppiesums are appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise ^onlAct^^ig??." appropriated, to supply supplemental appropriations (this Act may be cited as the "Second Supplemental Appropriations Act, 1972") for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1972, and for other purposes, namely: TITLE I CHAPTER I DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AGRICULTURAL STABILIZATION AND CONSERVATION SERVICE DAIRY AND BEEKEEPER INDEMNITY PROGRAMS

For an additional amount for "Dairy and Beekeeper Indemnity Programs", $3,939,000, to remain available until expended: Provided, That, in addition, $1,061,000 shall be transferred to this appropriation from the appropriation for "Expenses, Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service", fiscal year 1972.
