OFFICE OF SALINE WATER SALINE WATER CONVERSION

For expenses necessary to carry out the provisions of the Saline Water Conversion Act of 1971 (42 U.S.C. 1959-1959h, as amended), including not to exceed $1,600,000 for administration and coordination expenses during the current fiscal year, $3,627,000, to remain available until expended.

OFFICE OF THE SOLICITOR SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For necessary expenses of the Office of the Solicitor, $7,500,000. OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For necessary expenses of the Office of the Secretary of the Interior, including teletype rentals and service, and not to exceed $2,000 for official reception and repr^entation expenses, $15,495,000. DEPARTMENT A L OPERATIONS

For necessary expenses for certain operations that provide departmentwide services, $5,737,000, of which not to exceed $700,000 to remain available until expended, shall be available for payment of contributions to the World Energy Conference. SALARIES AND EXPENSES (SPECIAL FOREIGN CURRENCY PROGRAM)

For payments in foreign currencies which the Treasury Department shall determine to be excess to the normal requirements of the United States, for necessary expenses of the Office of the Secretary, as authorized by law, $670,000, to remain available until expended: Provided, That this appropriation shall be available, in addition to other appropriations, to such office for payments in the foregoing currencies (7 U.S.C. 1704). s/stauVayg!*' GENERAL PROVISIONS, DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR

SEC. 101. Appropriations made in this title shall be available for enfergenc'y re conexpenditure or transfer (within each bureau or office), with the struction. approval of the Secretary, for the emergency reconstruction, replacement, or repair of aircraft, buildings, utilities, or other facilities or equipment damaged or destroyed by tire, flood, storm, or other unavoidable causes: Provided, That no funds shall be made available under this authority until funds specifically made available to the Department of the Interior for emergencies shall have been exhausted. SEC. 102. The Secretary may authorize the expenditure or transfer range fires.
