OPERATIONS

For salaries and expenses of the Joint Committee on Congressional Operations, including the Office of Placement and Office Management, $600,000. For other joint items, as follows: OFFICE OF THE ATTENDING PHYSICIAN

For medical supplies, equipment, and contingent expenses of the emergency rooms, and for the attending physician and his assistants, including (1) an allowance of one thousand dollars per month to the attending physician; (2) an allowance of six hundred dollars per month to one senior medical officer while on duty in the attending physician's office; (3) an allowance of two hundred dollars per month each to two medical officers while on duty in the attending physician's office; and (4) an allowance of two hundred dollars per month each to not exceed eight assistants on the basis heretofore provided for such assistance, $103,600. CAPITOL POLICE GENERAL EXPENSES

For purchasing and supplying uniforms; the purchase, maintenance, and repair of police motor vehicles, including two-way police radio equipment; contingent expenses, including $25 per month for extra services performed for the Capitol Police Board by such member of the staff of the Sergeant at Arms of the Senate or the House as may be designated by the Chairman of the Board; $513,360. To enable the Capitol Police Board to provide additional protection for the Capitol Buildings and Grounds, including the Senate and House Office Buildings and the Capitol Power Plant, $1,214,255. Such sum shall be expended only for payment of salaries and other expenses of personnel detailed from the Metropolitan Police of the District of Columbia, and the Commissioner of the District of Columbia is authorized and directed to make such details upon the request of the Board.
