Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the A v¤¤¤i¤¤ ¤f United &ates of America in Congress assembled, That there be, and g£,2,,§§'“m§·f: hereby is, granted to Thomas Dennis, of the city of Philadelphia, in mas Dennis. the State of Pennsylvania, who, whilst engaged in the discharge of his duty as a seaman on board of the United States ship Princeton, on the fifth day of Sbptember, eighteen hundred and forty-seven, when at Gibraltar, and while m the act of firing a salute, had both his arms blown od, in lieu of any pension or allowance to which he may now be entitled b law, a pension of thirty dollars er month, to commence Y P on the first day of August, eighteen hundred and forty-nine, and to continue during his natural life, to be paid out of the navy pension fund. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Tim<;d¤f_i>¤Y- United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary ,T::;:us:;’$n‘:f of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to exed. tend the time of payment of duties, upon all iron rails now or hereafter gc; be imported aé the peat of Wgmington, North Carolina, by•the ilmington. and aleigh ailroad ompany for the use of said company, so that thesame shall be made by four, equal annual payments or instalments; which annual instalments and payments are first to be reserved by the Postmaster-General for the use of the treasury, out of any monies which may be due said Wilmington and Raleigh Railroad Company for mail service to be performed by them; and further, that Payment to be before the delivery of any such iron rails, the payments so deferred shall
