COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GRANTS

For contracts with and payments to States and units of general local government and for related expenses, not otherwise provided for, necessary for carrying out a community development g r a n t program as authorized by Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 ( P. L. 93-383, 88 Stat. 633), $3,148,000,000 42 USC 5301. of which $200,000,000 shall be used for the purposes stated in section 103(a)(2) of said Act except that not more than $100,000,000 of the 42 USC 5303. amount so provided may be used for the purposes of section 106 (d)(1), to remain available until September 30, 1979. 42 USC 5306. For g r a n t s to units of general local government for urgent community development needs pursuant to section 103(b) of Title I of • . the Housing and Community Development Act o,f 1974, $100,000,000, to remain available until September 30, 1979. COMPREHENSIVE P L A N N I N G GRANTS

For comprehensive p l a n n i n g g r a n t s as authorized by section 701 of the Housing Act of 1954, as amended (40 U.S.C. 461), $62,500,000, to remain available until expended. REHABILITATION LOAN F U N D

For the revolving fund established pursuant to section 312 of the Housing Act of 1964, as amended (42 U.S.C. 1452b), $50,000,000, which amount shall be augmented by any previously appropriated funds which would otherwise become unavailable after August 22, 1976: Provided, That the aggregate amount of commitments for loans made from the fund for the fiscal year 1977 shall not exceed the total of loan repayments and other income available during such period, less operating costs, plus the aggregate amount provided herein.
