^ (r) Section 786 (relating to physician shortage area scholarships) ig amended (1) by striking out "June 30, 1975" in the second sentence and inserting in lieu thereof "September 30, 1977", and (2) by striking out "1974" in that sentence and inserting in lieu thereof "1976". 42 USC 295h-l. "SEC. 700. (a) Notwithstanding any other provisions of law, with respect to any fiscal year beginning after September 30, 1977, no funds appropriated for such fiscal year may be made available for obligation or expenditure for the purpose of carrying out any provision of this title if the sum of the amounts appropriated for such fiscal year for scholarships under subj^art IV of part C (relating to National Health Service Corps scholarships) and for the purpose of making grants under section 758 (relating to scholarships for first-year students of exceptional financial need) is less than the lesser of— "(1) the sum of the amounts authorized to be appropriated for such fiscal year under such subpart and section, or "(2) 50 percent of the sum of the amounts appropriated for such fiscal year under this title.
