Private Law 95-38 95th Congress An Act For the relief of the First Baptist Church of Paducah, Kentucky.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to the First Baptist Church of Paducah, Kentucky, the amount of $171,990 in full settlement for all claims against the United States for damages arising in connection with the failure of the Federal Government to carry out its condemnation of the property of Fifth Street and Jefferson Street in Paducah, Kentucky, as proposed on September 9, 1964, by the General Services Administration. SEC. 2. No part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. A violation of this section is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine in an amount not to exceed $10,000.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That any debt owed the United States by Charles P. Abbott of Glendora, California, arising from the judgment of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts in United States against Abbott (Civil Action No. 60-800-W), entered September 29, 1964, is hereby extinguished.
