PUBLIC LAW 97-98—DEC. 22, 1981 milk shall be supported at such level as determined by the Secretary, but not less than $13.25, $14.00, and $14.60, respectively, per hundredweight for milk containing 3.67 per centum milk fat: Provided, That, for each fiscal year during the period beginning October 1, 1982, and ending September 30, 1985, if the Secretary estimates as of the beginning of any such fiscal year that the net cost of Government price support purchases of milk or the products of milk will be less than $1,000,000,000 during the fiscal year, the price of milk shall be supported at such level as determined by the Secretary, but not less than 70 per centum of the parity price therefor as of the beginning of the relevant fiscal year: Provided further, That if the Secretary estimates that net Government price support purchases of milk or the products of milk will be less than 4.0 billion pounds (milk equivalent) in fiscal year 1983; 3.5 billion pounds (milk equivalent) in fiscal year 1984; and 2.69 billion pounds (milk equivalent) infiscalyear 1985, the price of milk shall be supported at such level as determined by the Secretary, but not less than 75 per centum of the parity price therefor as of the beginning of the relevant fiscal year. SEC. 106. The Secretary of Agriculture shall utilize, to the fullest extent practicable, the authorities under the Commodity Credit 15 USC 714 note.
