^stri^tion (b) The amendment made by this section does not apply to any 46 USC 688 note, action arising out of an incident that occurred before the date of enactment of this section. SEC. 504. Section 27 of the Merchant Marine Act, 1920 (46 U.S.C. 883) is amended by inserting the following immediately before the period at the end thereof: "Provided further, That for the purposes of this section, supplies aboard United States documented fish proc; 7isi essing vessels, which are necessary and used for the processing or assembling of fishery products aboard such vessels, shall be considered ship's equipment and not merchandise". Approved December 29, 1982. ..
