97 STAT. 1392 PUBLIC LAW 98-208—DEC. 5, 1983 Public Law 98-208 98th Congress Joint Resolution Dec. 5, 1983 TQ provide for appointment of Samuel Curtis Johnson as a citizen regent of the Board [H.J. Res. 381] of Regents of the Smithsonian Institution. Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Smithsonian States of America in Congress assembled. That the vacancy in the Institution. Board of Regents of the Smithsonian Institution, of the class other than Members of Congress, caused by the resignation of John Paul Austin of Georgia on May 9, 1983, is filled by appointment of Samuel Curtis Johnson of Wisconsin for the statutory term of six years.
