(b) EFFECTIVE DATE.—The amendment made by this section shall take effect on October 1, 1985.

SEC. 635. INCENTIVE PAY FOR HAZARDOUS DUTY (a) HAZARDOUS DUTY INCENTIVE PAY FOR OFFICERS AND FOR CERTAIN ADDITIONAL DUTIES.—(1) Subsection (a) of section 301 of title 37,

United States Code, is amended— (A) in clause (1), by striking out "an enlisted crew member" and inserting in lieu thereof "a crew member"; and
