Could somebody make an image of the handwritten message in the letter ("Liancourt Rocks") and include it in the page? For an example, see Page:United States Patent X1.png. Thanks, - Mtmelendez 18:14, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
- Done, but there's an illegible character in the FE:NA:?MHerndon:eb line. I identified the 7th character as an "R", but zooming in the original image makes me doubtful. Can anyone lend a second pair of eyes, or in depth knowledge on which person it refers to? - Mtmelendez 19:20, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

- Personally I'd wager money on it being an R. The tail looks odd, but then look at 2 for another elongated tail. But would like another's opinion before this page goes green. Prosody 03:51, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
