Literal English Translation Original Esperanto Line

So many tiny pains! and every one speeds the heart!

So small that, truthfully, it's not worth speaking about them.

However, these tiny wounds tire me and don't permit

That I should bravely accept larger, nobler pains.

Tiom da etaj doloroj! kaj ĉiu al koro rapidas!

Tiom malgrandaj, ke, vere, pri ili ne indas paroli.

Tamen ĉi tiuj vundetoj lacigas min kaj malpermesas,

Ke mi akceptu kuraĝe pli grandan, pli noblan doloron.
