Popular Science is a monthly collection of articles about technology and science. Originally intended for the educated layman, the format changed considerably in 1915 to target the general public. It was founded as Popular Science Monthly in 1872 by Edward L. Youmans who edited it until his death in 1887 when his brother, William Jay Youmans, became editor-in-chief. In 1900, James McKeen Cattell became editor-in-chief. |
