	In the name of God, the Almighty, the Most Merciful.	Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
056:001	When the inevitable comes to pass.	Itha waqaAAati alwaqiAAatu
056:002	Nothing can stop it from happening.	Laysa liwaqAAatiha kathibatun
056:003	It will bring low, and raise up.	Khafidatun rafiAAatun
056:004	When the Earth will be shaken a terrible shake.	Itha rujjati al-ardu rajjan
056:005	And the mountains will be wiped out.	Wabussati aljibalu bassan
056:006	So that they become only scattered dust.	Fakanat habaan munbaththan
056:007	And you will be in three groupings.	Wakuntum azwajan thalathatan
056:008	So those on the right, who will be from those on the right?	Faas-habu almaymanati ma as-habu almaymanati
056:009	And those on the left, who will be from those on the left?	Waas-habu almash-amati ma as-habu almash-amati
056:010	And those foremost, who will be from those foremost?	Waalssabiqoona alssabiqoona
056:011	They will be the ones who are brought near.	Ola-ika almuqarraboona
056:012	In the paradises of bliss.	Fee jannati alnnaAAeemi
056:013	Many from the first generations.	Thullatun mina al-awwaleena
056:014	And a few from the later generations.	Waqaleelun mina al-akhireena
056:015	Upon luxurious furnishings.	AAala sururin mawdoonatin
056:016	Residing in them, neighbouring each other.	Muttaki-eena AAalayha mutaqabileena
056:017	Moving amongst them will be immortal children.	Yatoofu AAalayhim wildanun mukhalladoona
056:018	With cups, pitchers and drinks which are pure.	Bi-akwabin waabareeqa waka/sin min maAAeenin
056:019	They do not run out, nor do they get bored.	La yusaddaAAoona AAanha wala yunzifoona
056:020	And fruits of their choice.	Wafakihatin mimma yatakhayyaroona
056:021	And meat of birds that they desire.	Walahmi tayrin mimma yashtahoona
056:022	And wonderful companions.	Wahoorun AAeenun
056:023	Like pearls which are sheltered.	Kaamthali allu/lui almaknooni
056:024	A reward for their works.	Jazaan bima kanoo yaAAmaloona
056:025	They never hear any nonsense therein, nor sinful utterances.	La yasmaAAoona feeha laghwan wala ta/theeman
056:026	Only the utterances of: "Peace. Peace."	Illa qeelan salaman salaman
056:027	And those on the right, who will be with those on the right?	Waas-habu alyameeni ma as-habu alyameeni
056:028	In lush orchards.	Fee sidrin makhdoodin
056:029	And fruit-trees which are ripe.	Watalhin mandoodin
056:030	And extended shade.	Wathillin mamdoodin
056:031	And flowing water.	Wama-in maskoobin
056:032	And many fruits.	Wafakihatin katheeratin
056:033	Neither ending; nor forbidden.	La maqtooAAatin wala mamnooAAatin
056:034	And raised furnishings.	Wafurushin marfooAAatin
056:035	We have planted them deeply.	Inna ansha/nahunna inshaan
056:036	And made them never previously touched.	FajaAAalnahunna abkaran
056:037	Perfect and without spoil.	AAuruban atraban
056:038	For those on the right side.	Li-as-habi alyameeni

056:039	Many from the early generations.	Thullatun mina al-awwaleena
056:040	And many from the later generations.	Wathullatun mina al-akhireena
056:041	And those on the left, who will be from those on the left?	Waas-habu alshshimali ma as-habu alshshimali
056:042	In fierce hot winds and boiling water.	Fee samoomin wahameemin
056:043	And a shade that is unpleasant.	Wathillin min yahmoomin
056:044	Neither cool, nor helpful.	La baridin wala kareemin
056:045	They used to be indulged in luxury before this.	Innahum kanoo qabla thalika mutrafeena
056:046	And they persisted in the great blasphemy.	Wakanoo yusirroona AAala alhinthi alAAatheemi
056:047	And they used to Say: "After we die and turn to dust and bones, we will get resurrected?"	Wakanoo yaqooloona a-itha mitna wakunna turaban waAAithaman a-inna lamabAAoothoona
056:048	"As well as our forefathers?"	Awa abaona al-awwaloona
056:049	Say: "The people of old and the later generations,"	Qul inna al-awwaleena waal-akhireena
056:050	"Will be summoned to a meeting on a predetermined Day."	LamajmooAAoona ila meeqati yawmin maAAloomin
056:051	"Then you, O rejecting strayers,"	Thumma innakum ayyuha alddalloona almukaththiboona
056:052	"Will eat from the tree of Bitterness,"	Laakiloona min shajarin min zaqqoomin
056:053	"Filling your bellies therefrom,"	Famali-oona minha albutoona
056:054	"Then drinking on top of it boiling water,"	Fashariboona AAalayhi mina alhameemi
056:055	"So you will drink like thirsty camels!"	Fashariboona shurba alheemi
056:056	Such is their share on the Day of Judgment.	Hatha nuzuluhum yawma alddeeni
056:057	We have created you, if you could only believe!	Nahnu khalaqnakum falawla tusaddiqoona
056:058	Have you noted the semen that you produce?	Afaraaytum ma tumnoona
056:059	Did you create it, or were We the Ones who created it?	Aantum takhluqoonahu am nahnu alkhaliqoona
056:060	We have predetermined death for you. Nothing can stop Us,	Nahnu qaddarna baynakumu almawta wama nahnu bimasbooqeena
056:061	From transforming your forms, and establishing you in what you do not know.	AAala an nubaddila amthalakum wanunshi-akum fee ma la taAAlamoona
056:062	You have come to know about the first creation. If only you would remember.	Walaqad AAalimtumu alnnash-ata al-oola falawla tathakkaroona
056:063	Have you noted the crops you reap?	Afaraaytum ma tahruthoona
056:064	Did you grow them, or were We the Ones who grew them?	Aantum tazraAAoonahu am nahnu alzzariAAoona
056:065	If We wished, We can turn them into hay. Then you will be left in wonderment:	Law nashao lajaAAalnahu hutaman fathaltum tafakkahoona
056:066	"We are lost."	Inna lamughramoona
056:067	"No, we are deprived!"	Bal nahnu mahroomoona
056:068	Have you noted the water you drink?	Afaraaytumu almaa allathee tashraboona
056:069	Did you send it down from the clouds, or was it We who sent it down?	Aantum anzaltumoohu mina almuzni am nahnu almunziloona
056:070	If We wished, We can make it salty. If only you would give thanks.	Law nashao jaAAalnahu ojajan falawla tashkuroona
056:071	Have you noted the fire you kindle?	Afaraaytumu alnnara allatee tooroona
056:072	Did you establish its tree, or was it We who established it?	Aantum ansha/tum shajarataha am nahnu almunshi-oona
056:073	We rendered it a reminder, and a useful tool for the users.	Nahnu jaAAalnaha tathkiratan wamataAAan lilmuqweena
056:074	You shall glorify the name of your Lord, the Great.	Fasabbih biismi rabbika alAAatheemi

056:075	I do swear by the positions of the stars.	Fala oqsimu bimawaqiAAi alnnujoomi
056:076	This is an oath, if you only knew, that is great.	Wa-innahu laqasamun law taAAlamoona AAatheemun
056:077	This is an honourable Quran.	Innahu laqur-anun kareemun
056:078	In a protected record.	Fee kitabin maknoonin
056:079	None can grasp it except those pure.	La yamassuhu illa almutahharoona
056:080	A revelation from the Lord of the worlds.	Tanzeelun min rabbi alAAalameena
056:081	Are you disregarding this narration?	Afabihatha alhadeethi antum mudhinoona
056:082	And you have your provisions, yet you are denying?	WatajAAaloona rizqakum annakum tukaththiboona
056:083	So when the time comes and it reaches your throat.	Falawla itha balaghati alhulqooma
056:084	And at that moment you look around.	Waantum heena-ithin tanthuroona
056:085	We are closer to it than you are, but you do not see.	Wanahnu aqrabu ilayhi minkum walakin la tubsiroona
056:086	If it is true that you do not owe any account.	Falawla in kuntum ghayra madeeneena
056:087	Then return it, if you are truthful?	TarjiAAoonaha in kuntum sadiqeena
056:088	So, if he is one of those who are made near.	Faamma in kana mina almuqarrabeena
056:089	Then joy, and rose buds, and paradises of bliss.	Farawhun warayhanun wajannatu naAAeemin
056:090	And if he is one of the people of the right.	Waamma in kana min as-habi alyameeni
056:091	Then: "Peace" from the people of the right.	Fasalamun laka min as-habi alyameeni
056:092	But if he is one of the deniers, the strayers.	Waamma in kana mina almukaththibeena alddalleena
056:093	Then an abode of boiling water.	Fanuzulun min hameemin
056:094	And a burning in Hell.	Watasliyatu jaheemin
056:095	This is the absolute truth.	Inna hatha lahuwa haqqu alyaqeeni
056:096	You shall glorify the name of your Lord, the Great.	Fasabbih biismi rabbika alAAatheemi
