Royal Decree


Convoking the National Assembly,


BE 2554 (2011) [1]

Given under our Hand this 29th Day of July, BE 2554 (2011);


Being the 66th Year of our Reign.



His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej is graciously pleased to proclaim that:

Whereas a general election of the members of the House of Representatives has been held on July 3, BE 2554 (2011); and whereas section 127 of the Constitution of the King of Thailand prescribes that the first session of the National Assembly must be convoked within thirty days from the date of an election of the members of the House of Representatives;

Be it decreed by the King's most Excellent Majesty, in virtue of sections 127, 128 and 187 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, that the National Assembly shall convene on 1 August 2554 (2011).
