Establishing Amphoe Krong Pinang, Changwat Yala,


BE 2547 (2004)

Given under our Hand this 23rd Day of September, BE 2547 (2004);


Being the 59th Year of our Reign.



His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej is graciously pleased to proclaim that:

Whereas it is desirable to additionally establish an Amphoe in Changwat Yala, for the sake of the administration and public facility;

Be it decreed by the King's most Excellent Majesty, in virtue of section 221 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand and section 61, paragraph 2, of the National Government Organisation Act, BE 2534 (1991), as follows:



§ 1

This Royal Decree shall be cited as the "Royal Decree Establishing Amphoe Krong Pinang, Changwat Yala, BE 2547 (2004)".


§ 2

This Royal Decree shall come into force as from the day following the date of its publication in the Government Gazette.[1]


§ 3

King Amphoe Krong Pinang of Amphoe Mueang Yala, Changwat Yala, shall be elevated to Amphoe Krong Pinang, Changwat Yala.


§ 4

Amphoe Krong Pinang shall assume the existing administrative territory of King Amphoe Krong Pinang separated from the administration of its former Amphoe Mueang Yala, Changwat Yala.


§ 5

The Minister of Interior shall be in charge of this Royal Decree.

Statement of Grounds

The grounds for promulgation of this Royal Decree are as follows: Since King Amphoe Krong Pinang of Amphoe Mueang Yala, Changwat Yala, is of wide territory, densely populated communities and trade zones, and considerably growing development, it is expedient to elevate the King Amphoe to Amphoe, with a view to supporting the administration and the provision of public service and facility and to promoting the local development. It is therefore necessary to enact this Royal Decree.
