Establishing Amphoe Sirindhorn,

Given under my Hand this 27th Day of November, BE 2534 (1991);

Being the 46th Year of my Reign.

His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej is graciously pleased to proclaim that:

Whereas it is desirable to establish Amphoe Sirindhorn in Changwat Ubon Ratchathani, for the sake of the administration and public facility;

Be it decreed by the King’s most Excellent Majesty, in virtue of section 25 of the Administrative Charter of the Kingdom, Buddhist Era 2534 (1991), and section 61, paragraph 2, of the Public Administration Organisation Act, BE 2534 (1991), as follows:

§ 1

This Royal Decree shall be cited as the “Royal Decree Establishing Amphoe Sirindhorn, BE 2534 (1991)”.

§ 2

This Royal Decree shall come into force upon the elapse of thirty days from its publication in the Government Gazette.

§ 3

Tambon Khuean Kaeo shall be separated from Amphoe Khong Chiam, Changwat Ubon Ratchathani, and Tambon Khan Rai, Tambon Chong Mek, Tambon Nikhom Sang Ton Eng Lam Dom Noi, Tambon Non Ko and Tambom Fang Kham shall be disjoined from Amphoe Phibun Mangsahan of the same Changwat, to constitute an Amphoe called “Amphoe Sirindhorn”. The Seat of the Amphoe shall be situated in Tambon Nikhom Sang Ton Eng Lam Dom Noi.

§ 4

Amphoe Sirindhorn shall assume the existing administrative territory of the Tambons separated from the administration of their former Amphoes, and shall be subject to the administration of Changwat Ubon Ratchathani.

§ 5

The Minister of Interior shall be in charge of this Royal Decree.

Statement of Grounds

The grounds for promulgation of this Royal Decree are as follows: Since Tambon Khuean Kaeo of Amphoe Khong Chiam, and Tambon Khan Rai, Tambon Chong Mek, Tambon Nikhom Sang Ton Eng Lam Dom Noi, Tambon Non Ko and Tambom Fang Kham of Amphoe Phibun Mangsahan, are of wide territory, densely populated communities and trade zones, and considerably growing development, it is expedient to separate the said Tambons from Amphoe Khong Chiam and Amphoe Phibun Mangsahan to constitute an Amphoe called “Amphoe Sirindhorn”, with a view to supporting the administration and the providing of public service and facility, to promoting the local development and to commemorating the Occasion of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s 3rd Cycle Birthday Anniversary in this 2534th Year of Buddhist Era (the Year 1991). It is therefore necessary to enact this Royal Decree.
