Below is a list of special gadgets users can enable on their preferences page, as defined by the definitions. This overview provides easy access to the system message pages that define each gadget's description and code.

Editing tools     [Edit]

• Inserts AJAX (patrol) link on recent changes. To be used only on known good edits. Converts [Mark this revision/page patrolled] to AJAX link.     [Edit]

• Allow up to 50 more characters in each of your edit summaries. Works in Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Opera.     [Edit]

• Add an [edit] link for the lead section of a page     [Edit]

Interface     [Edit]

• Clock and Purge A clock in the personal toolbar that shows the current time in UTC and be clicked to purge the page     [Edit]

• Change the "new section" tab text to instead display the much narrower "+".     [Edit]

• Alternate format for index pages - Yann and Kipmaster. Works in FF and Opera, definitely not in IE, other not tested.     [Edit]

• Wiktionary Hover: Double click a word, and get the definition in a tooltip. (click anywhere else on screen to get rid of it). Note: If you had used the double click option to edit a page, this can still be utilised by "SHIFT double click". See [Editing] tab above.     [Edit]
