Waht is the copyright status of this letter? Is it in the public domain? If so, why? Is {{PD-US-no-notice}} applicable to letters?--GrafZahl 18:21, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Letters are not usually considered "published" until they have been, in fact, "published." The Einstein letter was published in 1945, though, as part of the Smyth Report.
