cribbed from T. O. Mabbott (1951): "Alone was discovered by E.L. Didier, who published it in Scribner's Monthly, September, 1875, adding the title. The MS has been recently re-discovered."
Alone was an untitled poem written in a lady's autograph album approx. 1829 and discovered twentysix years after Poe's death.
