Talk:Beowulf (Gummere)

This version of the text had a structure composed of blocs for each chapter (like prose). However, the original edition used here has a structure in verse. I checked on Google Books (scanned version of the original edition) that the structure in verse was really used. I supposed that the translator, Francis Gummere, chose this purposefully. That's why I began to convert the text in verses.

Is it possible to get the point of vue of Wikisource contributors on this ?

Why is there no table of contents?

It seems to me that navigating a 42 chapter/section work would be much easier with a table of contents. Plus it says that it's incomplete, and currently the only way to find out what's missing is to read the whole thing. —unsigned comment by 71.67.175.167 (talk) 22:15, 9 January 2008.
