More correctly- The First love of Phoebus Apollo was Penian Daphne, a love which blind chance did not give, but the cruel wrath of Cupd did give. Delian Apollo, haughty, on account of the serpent having been slain, had recently seen this man bending the horns by means of the having been drawn string of the bow.
